Our Team

Redirections Sign & Design Volleyball has officially hit the scene. All of the ESPN sports analysts have predicted us to be "the team to beat." They are also predicting capacity crowds at the Spiece Fieldhouse to watch us play. Okay, okay......gimme a break here. A guy can dream, can't he?

Our team does look extremely solid, and I am expecting nothing but good things. Let me just give you a run down on our team roster:

Our setter with the magic hands is none other than Matt "Scrappy-Doo" Kindness. Matt has a lot of "scrap"in him (and I mean that in the best possible way), which is why he fits in so well with the rest of the squad. Matt has seen some action in the beach league, but he is anxious to make his mark in the gym.

Next is Shannon "Strawberry" Rose. Strawberry has nothing to do with how sweet he is (however, he is a bit fruity), but it has more to do with the condition of his body after a volleyball match. Shannon is diving (or screeching) across the floor the majority of the game. His knees and body are one big strawberry by the game's end. Shannon's motto is "You haven't played unless your bleeding." I must say though....he gets to balls that I didn't think were possible to get to.

Our adrenaline junkie is a guy by the name of Kyle Zimmerman. His play is not always pretty, but he gets the job done........most of the time......okay, some of the time. He likes to play hard and make the big dig. We'll see how he makes the adjustment from the sand to the hardwood.

Last but certainly not least is Chad "From the Insane" Ward. Chad has some college volleyball under his belt, so we'll see what he pulls out of his bag of tricks. Like ridin' a bicycle, right Chad? Chad definitely has the height, but can he pull his vert back out of the mothballs? Actually, I think Chad will be puttin' down some seriously hard hits on the court this season. Keep your eye on this guy.

We want to give a really big shout out to our awesome sponsor, Redirections Sign & Design, for giving us a chance to play the game we love and wear their name with pride!
