One Night Left

Well, Team Mann won Round 1, but we didn't have our real team there. Shannon was playin' around on a cruise ship on his honeymoon with his wife....all the while, we needed him to play volleyball back home. C'MON, MAN! Where's your priorities?! Now he's using this whimpy excuse this week about being in a head-on collision, and he can't play. Figures.

I'm totally kidding, obviously. And thank God that Shannon was okay in the accident last week. It could have ended up a lot worse. We're glad to let Shannon recover for another week before we turn him loose and unleash his intensity in the tourney.

At this point we are a long shot for 1st place, but it could still happen. However, we are in a very impressive and authoritative 2nd. Good showing fellas!

Official Standings Update

Here are the new standings that just came out. We go head-to-head with #1 tomorrow. A lot could happen in one night. We could leave the gym in first place if things go our way. Leave your "B+" game at home. Bring your "A" game tomorrow night!

The Race For First

We are smack-dab in the middle of a very exciting battle for 1st place. We are coming down to the wire with only 2 regular season nights of volleyball left. We were 4-0 last week, and I know that Team Mann lost at least 1 of their 4 games. That would put us 2 games out of 1st place. However, 2 out of our last 4 regular season matches are against them, head-to-head. If we can sweep them, we should have 1st place in the bag. But it won't be easy. They are a solid team.

Let's win the trophy, y'all! Well, the fictional, invisible, pretend trophy. I'll carry it around wherever I go.

Standings

The results are in. Take a look for yourself.

6 matches (12 games) left in the regular season. Anything can happen. We've got some tough match-ups ahead of us, but we have been on a major roll lately. We'll see if we can keep the momentum going.

So Far, So Good!

We have definitely proved that we can hang with the big boys. After 16 games into the season, we have a 12-4 record. I am lovin' it! This team has a real shot at winning the end of season tourney. We are still 2nd in the standings behind Team Mann. They were 11-1 before last night's matches...I don't know how they ended up.

Everyone got a piece of the action last night. Matt was a setting machine (and his new girlfriend wasn't even there to watch him.....gosh!). Mr. Redirections himself, Chad Ward, was hitting very well, and by the end of the night, Shannon was puttin' it anywhere he wanted. Matt and I had a little "quick-set" connection goin' as well. We ended last night 4-0, and we hope to build on our record from here.

6-2

Well, we have a few matches under our belts, and we don't look too bad. Our record is now 6-2, and I believe that puts us in 2nd place....not too shabby. We have been getting better and better every week. We all know our roles, and it is gellin' fairly well. You gellin'? I'm gellin'.

Our game schedule looks like a tough one for tonight's match-ups. Let's work our magic, fellas.
